Youth Football Camp
The Central Penn Piranha will be holding their annual Youth Football non-contact football camp again this year. The camp will take place in Lititz, PA behind Warwick High School. "This will be the second season that we are holding the camp in Lititz working closely with the Warwick Midget Football Organization and Red Rose Football League." said Tom Laubach, Head Coach. "Last season we had about 50 kids and are looking to have that number grow this season. It was one of the great highlights in the 2014 season. All the players love working with the kids" Laubach stated.
The Piranha will be joined by Orthopedic Association of Lancaster in showing proper safety and technique as a main focus at this years camp. "Some of the trainers from OAL will be on hand to speak with the kids on safety and making sure they understand how important it is to tell someone if they are hurt" said Laubach.
Each athlete will have a chance to learn every position on the field. During the 3 day camp, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, the athletes will rotate between stations and learn from the Piranha players fundamentals and technique. All aspects of football will be covered throughout the camp to help every skill level.
The Piranha will be having guest speakers to talk with the kids on more than just football. They will hear about family, education, safety, goals, etc. The team is very excited to have this opportunity again for the 2015 season.
